I am not sure if this may be the best possible explanation of a purpose but it comes from my eyes.
When I was younger I would ask myself those questions of "Why am I here?" or "What am I doing here?" I then realized I would not come close to that answer. But the question of "What am I going to do here?" is the question that we all ponder on when thinking of careers, college, relationships, etc.
Finding a purpose is super hard, and I would say I do not know mine either.
What I do know is this: continue to strive yourself on opening up possibilities for you to find your purpose. For example, if you are a hardcore basketball player, there is no guarantee that you will receive a million dollar contract. According to Borderzine, 80% of all students in college change their majors. Those students either have found different interests in other aspects such as journalism or have found dislike in what they presumed to become with their current major so they change.
What if that basketball player was not only the best in his or her region, but also a 4.0 student, talented in art, and an above average video editor? That person clearly has more options for whatever he decides his path and has options that he loves to do.
As I keep this in mind in finding my purpose, I know that I can confident in my decisions and mindset.
You should too.
